An article was just posted on napw.com (National Association of Professional Women), source, ABC News, Nov. 17, 2011, under the title, “More Women Are Saying ‘I Do’ When They Mean ‘I Don’t.” Authors Andrea Canning and Melia Patria write that a new book highlights a disturbing new trend: Women who knowingly marry the wrong guy. Co-authors Anne Milford, who actually canceled her own wedding five months before the big day and Jennifer Gauvain, a clinical social worker who works with couples and families, interviewed hundreds of divorced women for their book, “How Not to Marry the Wrong Guy.”
Canning and Patria report that through their research, Milford and Gauvain have found that 30 percent of divorcees said they knew they were marrying the wrong man on their wedding day. Gauvain was quoted as saying, “They are walking down that aisle, they are going, ‘Oh my gosh, what am I doing?’”
My friend over in Oahu has her own opinion on this, but then again that is why she is (a picture of health), you know? She was mentioning how a lot of couples in Oahu and other island for that matter were fighting over Oahu Real estate as well as annuities and other assets. Naturally the article points to the Kim Kardashian debacle, in which her doomed “fairy tale” wedding last summer has made the maven of marketing a target for derision. Canning and Patria note that the marriage spectacle drew an audience of 10 million, cost a reported $10 million, and Kardashian, 31, and her now ex-husband Kris Humphries, 26, made an estimated $17 million off their marriage. The conclusion was a divorce filing, just 72 days later. Here in Oahu this type of thing also happens all of the time. Big Bear real estate has also been effected, similiar to as on Oahu.
